Curtis Brown, Sr. is the Founder and CEO of Out the Box - graphiX, llc [OB-X], the Creator and CEO of tHEoFfBranDPrESents... / tHEoFfBranDPrESents.com, and most recently the Executive Art Director for Cramble, LLC..
Naturally talented with the ability to do Freestyle Art, Portraits, Comic Style Art, etc., Curtis spent his entire life doing Illustrative Art in some capacity. It wasn't until a few years after graduating High School in 1990, did Curtis begin entertaining the idea of possibly getting into the Comic Industry.
Earlier on in his art career, Mr. Brown focused primarily on Comic Style Art and Storytelling to express his vision. Comic Art proved a viable medium for expression given its open format for aspiring illustrators and creators to tell an original story (through drawing, writing, or both). Not easily inspired by other Artists' works, Curtis does admire the art stylings of Comic Artists Simon Bisley and Sam Keith. In 1999 this desire to tell stories via Comic Art eventually spawned tHEoFfBranDPrESents... and its web equivalent www.tHEoFfBranDPrESents.com (removing the "Branded" name of the bigger companies and rather focusing on the quality of work, offering viewers a richer and less corporate driven product). This allowed Curtis to self publish any original works without being confined by the restrictions put forth by larger companies.
In order to develop his own web presence and better represent his work, Mr. Brown took it upon himself to learn all of the finer nuances of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, among other standard industry programs to create his works. In doing this Curtis discovered yet another talent and passion ... Graphic Design. After being commissioned several times to develop Logos, Tattoo Designs, Character Designs, Etc., Curtis felt the time had come to establish himself in the Graphic Design Business World.
In 2009, Mr. Brown partnered with long-time friend and art associate Yasenia "Miss Kitty" Maye (Creator and CEO of tru-grahiX Art Designs) and created Out the Box - graphiX. Together their knowledge of Digital Graphics spanned from a mastery of Photoshop to Textile Art / Design. Without all the corporate overhead, Out the Box - graphiX has the ability to offer Professional Design services at a lower cost to clients without ever sacrificing on quality (All works are customized to fit the needs of the client, none of the Designs are ever reused. Corporations have a tendency to utilize "templates" to simplify the development process and force a customer into one of their prefabricated designs ... OB-X prides itself on the fact that their clients are the nucleus of their project and their designs are built around them to make certain its the appropriate fit for their needs.).
In 2010 Curtis Brown, Sr. looks to further expand his portfolio by taking on the title of Executive Art Director with Cramble, LLC..
For those not in the know ... the character H.I.M (my avatar pictured above with the flaming pencil and along the right side of this bio) is named thusly: H.I.M - it's an acronym for He Is Me (well, cuz he is). The title "H.I.Mortal One" just expounds on the name by incorporating "Immortal" (there is purposely (1) "M" becasue the 2 combined words share the "M" it kinda self doubles), but I call H.I.M Immortal ... well, cuz he is.
